Since we are building our first net zero home, we took the day to hear Sam Raskin speak about the future of Zero Energy Ready Homes. The pre-conference workshop was held at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse. Since the future of green building lies with Generation Y, it was great to see so many college students in attendance. We learned a few new things, and had many of our current home applications reinforced and supported. Had we the time (and $) we would have enjoyed the 2-day conference beginning the following day. Maybe next year.
